The short version

Who we are

ParkingAppealCheck is a trading name of Northfields Enterprise Limited (company number 07693254) (“we”). We are the data controller for this website. Contact: ukpcn999@gmail.com.

What happens to your information

Photos and answers. When you run a check, your photos and answers are sent to our server and then to Anthropic (our AI provider, which provides the Claude AI model) to read the notice and identify possible grounds. We do not save them. Anthropic processes them on our behalf and may keep API data for a limited period for safety and abuse monitoring under its own commercial terms. It does not use it to train its models.

Your results. Your check results and letter are stored only in your own browser (“session storage”) so the pages work, and are deleted when you close the tab.

Payments. If you buy a letter, Stripe processes your payment and collects the details it needs (such as card details and email for your receipt). See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy. We attach only an anonymous reference to the payment so it can't be reused for unlimited letters. No ticket details are attached.

Technical data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) handles your IP address to deliver the site, and we use it briefly in memory to limit how many free checks can be run, to prevent abuse. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived server logs.

Visitor statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits (for example, which pages are popular and roughly which country visitors come from). It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you or track you across other websites.

Legal basis

We process your information to provide the service you request (contract), and to keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests).

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct and delete your personal data, and to object to processing. Because we don't keep your data, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve, but please contact us at ukpcn999@gmail.com with any request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
